In 2009, Johnny Mannah was diagnosed with Hodgkin Lymphoma.
He was living his dream after being selected to play NRL. Despite Hodgkin Lymphoma being a curable cancer for some patients Johnny died in January 2013.
Throughout his treatment, during the good and bad times, Johnny was always there for others in the lymphoma community.
It is an honour and a privilege for Lymphoma Australia to walk alongside his NRL clubs the Parramatta Eels and the Cronulla Sharks in his memory.
Funds raised from this great walk will fund the first ever lymphoma nurse dedicated to supporting young people in Australia.
Johnny’s legacy to help others will live on through the work of the nurses we can fund to support the Australian Lymphoma Community.
